Neural Technologies appoint Professor Richard Petty as a Non-Executive Director

Neural Technologies Ltd (Nt), a leading fraud and risk management software solutions company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Richard Petty Ph.D. to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Professor Petty has extensive experience in financial management, strategy development, and corporate governance. He will add depth to Neural Technologies in those areas as the company continues to expand, particularly in Asia.

Professor Petty commenced his professional career as an analyst, he then worked for a large accounting firm before founding several companies which he later sold. Richard has more than 20 years of consulting experience and has advised a broad range of multinational firms and several governments on financial and strategic issues, competitive issues, governance issues, and on going business in Asia.

Presently, Richard is Professor (Accounting and Finance) & Executive Director International at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, one of the world’s leading business schools. He is Chairman of The Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macau, the largest Australian chamber of commerce globally outside of Australia. He also Chairs Asian Property Investments Limited and Flintwood International Limited, and is Deputy Chairman of the Australasian Reporting Awards Limited. Richard is on the Board of Directors of the Society for Knowledge Economics, and is Treasurer and Governor of the Australian International School Hong Kong. Professor Petty is Chairman of Hong Kong’s Best Annual Reporting Awards and he is a member of the Finance Committee of the Hong Kong Management Association.

From 2009-2010, Professor Petty was President and Chairman of CPA Australia, the largest professional accounting body in Australia and 6th largest in the world with more than 145,000 members.  He was Deputy Chairman and Deputy President of CPA Australia (2007-2008) and Chairman and Legal Representative of CPA Australia Shanghai Limited (2007-2013). Professor Petty has remained on the Board of CPA Australia and he presently is Chair of CPA Australia’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Richard graduated with first class honours in Accounting and was awarded the university medal. He holds a Masters degree (with honours) in Commerce, and a Ph.D. Richard is a Fellow and Life Member of CPA Australia (FCPA, Life) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
