Neural Technologies (Nt) is to present and exhibit at the Credit Show 2007 on the benefits of merging the credit and fraud management functions.
Taking place at Olympia in London between 16th & 17th May, the Credit Show is an annual event that attracts professionals working within the consumer and commercial credit marketplace. The show constitutes a large exhibition (which is free to attend), alongside a conference featuring top speakers from the industry.
Adrian Harris, Nt's Senior Consultant, will give the presentation entitled "Merging Credit & Fraud to achieve a fresh approach to Credit Management." The presentation is based upon a groundbreaking initiative by Danish telecommunication's operator, TDC, who undertook an ambitious project to merge their credit and fraud management functions to provide a complete overview of their 'customer exposure', i.e. the overall financial risk posed by their customers.
Adrian states, "Credit management in telecoms traditionally relies on billing information, which can be slow in predicting and identifying problems. By applying usage monitoring principles to credit in a similar way to those used in fraud management, earlier prediction of credit risk can be achieved. Our presentation will highlight which fraud management principles are appropriate to credit management and how they can be extended or modified. It will also outline the numerous benefits that can be achieved by merging the two functions".
