Neural Technologies (Nt) announced today that it has completed the installation of its new fraud management system for DIRECTV, Inc., the nation's leading satellite television service provider, and the company reports it is already seeing impressive results.
The installation of Neural Technologies fraud management solution, completed ahead of schedule, is the first for the direct broadcast satellite industry in North America.
"The installation of Nt's technology was remarkably smooth and ahead of schedule, which was a testament to the excellent working relationship between Neural Technologies and DIRECTV's IT department", said James Whalen, Vice President, Office of Signal Integrity, DIRECTV, Inc. "We were able to get an early and aggressive jump on our fraud detection program, and with great results being delivered out of the gate, we are already scheduling expansion of the system."
Neural Technologies was selected by DIRECTV early this year after it participated in a pilot study that demonstrated solid preliminary indications of successful fraud detection.
Neural Technologies' presence in North America has continued to grow since the opening of its US office at the end of 2005 (customers comprise GE Money, Sprint Nextel and AT&T).
Ian Gebbett, Vice President and head of Nt's US operation said, "We maintained a continuous on-site presence and close interaction at DIRECTV throughout the project leading to an effective configuration and smooth implementation process completing ahead of schedule. I can honestly say their team were a real pleasure to work with; their professionalism and clear focus has helped us to ensure the success of this project".
