In September this year Neural Technologies hosted its first User Forum for its fraud management solution, Minotaur™. Held at the prestigious Old Thorns Hotel, Golf & Country Club close to Nt's office in the South of England, the event comprised a busy two-day business agenda, combined with a programme of social activities.
The Forum was extremely well attended by many of Nt's customers around the globe, including representatives from: Sprint PCS, AT&T Wireless & Nextel (US); Avantel (Mexico); Telkom (South Africa); Digi (Malaysia); & Digitel (Philippines). In addition to Nt's presentations on new product releases, new modules, development roadmap etc., the Forum also comprised presentations from many of Nt's customers. Ken Dickenson of Telkom SA outlined the various ways in which Telkom is using Minotaur over and above fraud management, such as for customer care, and Deepa Solorzano of AT&T Wireless and Matt Dodson of Sprint PCS outlined the various procedures and methods undertaken by their organisations to combat fraud.
The ability to network, share and compare ideas and methodology was one of the main advantages cited by all the attendees. Similarly appreciated were the user feedback sessions, in which users were invited to make suggestions to contribute to the continuing development of Minotaur™. Nt greatly values such feedback and where possible will make sure it is incorporated into future versions of Minotaur™. Based on the success of this event, future User Forums are planned.
