Premium Rate Services (PRS) are very simple to establish and can be set up without any direct interaction with a telecommunications network, e.g. via a dealer or specialist agent. This means the network provides access to these services without having any real control.
To identify and prevent PRS fraud it is important to be able to distinguish and classify PRS services with the data processing of a fraud management system. However, the system should perform this task in an advanced manner not just on the call rating or volume of calls.
