Nt ports to Sun Microsystems' Solaris 10 on X86 Architecture

 13th Feb 2006
Neural Technologies (Nt), has successfully ported to Sun Microsystems' newest and most advanced operating system - Solaris 10 on X86 architecture.

The X86 architecture dominates the desktop computer, portable computer, and small server markets, meaning that Nt's customers will benefit from a more advanced operating system running on a PC environment. Crucially, it will represent signifcant hardware savings for Nt's customers.

Further benefits comprise increased security, improved availability, enhanced data management and increased vertical and horizontal scalability, signifying performance gains over X86 competing operating systems by up to 150%.

Luke Taylor, Nt's Commercial Director commented, "Porting to Solaris 10 on X86 will significantly reduce overall hardware purchasing costs for our customers. This will prove an immense benefit to smaller or evolving operators, who typically have restricted budgets in this area".

This move has also enabled Nt to benefit from lower development costs and faster implementation turnaround for its risk management product suite.
