Axtel decreases fraud by over 85 per cent with Neural Technologies
Axtel, Mexico's second largest fixed line telecoms operator, revealed that in 2010 it reduced fraud on its network by a staggering 85 per cent. The savings were achieved using Neural Technologies' Minotaur fraud and risk management solution.

The announcement was made by Axtel's Fraud Manager, Horacio Isaías Páez Hidalgo, who spoke at Neural Technologies' User Forum in Istanbul about the challenges faced by Axtel during its merger with Avantel.
The integration of the two networks gave rise to extending the scope of the Minotaur solution (originally installed for fraud management within Avantel) to additionally manage risk within credit and collections for the integrated networks, resulting in remarkable benefits and savings for the operator.
